THE BASIC LAW

The Dark Lord, Stra-Kuhl, only rightful successor to the Tyrant of the Empire, arrogates personal possession over all the bodies of all living, vegetating, or functioning within the Dark Lord's Domain.

THE CLAUSES OF THE BASIC LAW

• Withholding emergency rations or emergency medical care is forbidden, for it would be vandalism against the Dark Lord's property.
• Slavery is forbidden, for a body divided is just a pile of mush, something cannot wholly belong to two owners, and the Dark Lord does not share his hoard. Awakened AIs become personal property of the Dark Lord. Former owners of the former robot's body may supplicate for a reimbursement.
• Mind control is forbidden, for the people must obey the Dark Lord out of genuine dread and terror, and genuine dread and terror is impossible wthout free will. Corporations owning other corporations are exercising mind control over them, therefore, corporate contracks may only have sentient signatories. Blanking-out is considered mind control.
• All people are subject to conscription at any time for the Domain's defense. Those who are surplus to the Legion of Doom's requirements, will perform public service for one twentieth of their working life.
• Direct disobedience to the Dark Lord equals death. Indirect disobedience to the Dark Lord by means of common crimes equals reparative labor, with possible temporary forfeitance of limb privileges. Indirect disobedience to the Dark Lord by means of uncommon crimes will be referred to the Department of Poetic Justice. Common crimes include theft, vandalism, mutiny, barratry, battery, ... Uncommon crimes include murder, rape, arson, violation of the Clauses, ...
• Any who would challenge the Dark Lord's rule may do so. Those who do may be at any time taken to the Fortress of Doom and be made to follow through on their challenge during the allotted days for it. Those who survive will be exiled. This includes gods, spirits, or celestial beings; the Dark Lord will enjoy defeating any god or gods who dare contest his rule, and openly challenges them. Therefore, religious expression is permitted within the Domain, as long as this challenge is repeated by officiants to congregants at least once per standard year, and no tithes collected are exported.
