LombardyLombardy is famous for the rice paddies on the Po river and the thousand workshops at the feet of the Alps. While the country as a whole is less rich and influential than neighboring Savoy, its inhabitants enjoy a higher standards of living (at least those who don't mind the pollution). There's nothing made in Europe that doesn't have some Lombard components. The place is overall fairly boring, and Lombards like it that way; the capital, Milan, is home to a parliament of guilds that acts as the state's government. Free Cities: Venice. |
