Flipside2The material you are about to read is marked "classified, low clearance" by all five commonwealths. This is done simply to achieve the optimum balance between secrecy protocols and security by obscurity. In truth, if you were not trusted by the Custodial Arrangement of Thermodynamic Systems, you would be hunted down by karmic signature and eliminated immediately upon discovery of it. As you probably know, part of Christian Remnant theology implies that God Almighty will return once more a thousand years after the first judgement, to enact a second one. While research theologians are sure that this was simply a duplication-type memetic mutation in early copies of the Revelation of St. John, and while this may indeed have been the case before the Event, narrative causality has made the issue very real and present. Recent analysis of the Jesus lip-readings indicate that the Messiah has, at least in His head, completed the first judgement a number of years ago. Since then, he has been narrating to Himself a version of history in which Operation Snare failed, and in which He rules from the Final Temple in Jerusalem. Interestingly, He is at least somewhat aware of His confinement, in that He never narrates leaving the temple. While normally an audience of one would pose no problem, the Messiah's own NC intensity makes this scenario a threat. Worryingly, for example, the current configuration of the Ground Zero as it has grown over the years is a possible (if very loose) interpretation of the Final Temple layout. The Flipside evangelists, a recent phenomenon within the Remnant, have apparently been making enough converts to cause Jesus' narrative simulation speed to increase. What's worse, it is increasing at a constant rate as they make proselytes. A mitigating factor is that trusted CATS contractors have been able to confirm that the Flipside simulation functions roughly as proselytised, giving us at least preliminary intel. Flipside is forming as a proper liminality, and it will not be long -- two to five years -- before it becomes accessible like a regular liminal zone; while only a small portion of it is being actively simulated, its large size and immense NC power behind it means that it has a chance of at least partially superimposing itself on the existing probability sheath that determines our current situation. We have unconfirmed reports of certain liminalities being "taken over" by the Flipside scenario. While this is not unprecedented, "cannibal" liminalities have henceforth been created around the cannibalism concept and have always been inherently unstable without a controlling NC practitioner. As of six months ago, we have unconfirmed reports of Rayford Steele, Remnant pilot, and Chaim Rozenweig, Remnant biologist, having become able to access Flipside in some fashion; if this is the case, and should it become the case in a repeatable manner, we estimate that it would greatly increase the solidity of the simulation. Astral travel recon confirms, with the obvious limitations thereof, that at least the first has been active in the forming liminality, presumably by recurring dream. At current speed, we estimate that the Flipside simulation will run its course within 100 years. Should Flipside become accessible by Remnant via astral travel, this figure halves. Should the liminality fully develop, Pauline Remnant are likely to overtly or covertly occupy the physical access point, and only allow Remannt in - should they achieve even 80% success in this, the simulation completion figure halves again. We thought we had 980 years until an eventual Third Coming. Worst case scenario, we may have less than 20. Now, we are not telling you this to scare you; we are telling you because you have reached a trust metric with CATS that allows us to hire you as contractors for this project. As always, there are multiple strategies in place. Strategy A, headed by Susan Jewell, PhD, is to use CATS' influence to redouble space re-exploration efforts in earnest. The end goal is to construct a suborbital capsule, containing the Messiah and minimum containment facilities, capable of reaching semigeostationary orbit. There, a previously launched craft - orbital launch parameters to be determined by just what zones our new space assets will have to overfly - will rendesvouz with the capsule, pull it into a stable orbit, and begin construction of an appropriate facility, to be decided. By the time the Third Coming happens, Jesus will either have been expelled out of the solar system, or regain His full power to be faced by an array of space-based weapons sufficient to make the point moot without blowing up half the earth's crust. Strategy A will require a number of scientists and engineers, but will also demand field agents who will be tasked with removing political and financial obstacles to its implementation. Strategy B, headed by Anita LeVey, ThD, is to disrupt or at least slow down the simulation's progress by sending psionic constructs into it. Astral travel has the major disadvantage of being only useful as a preliminary recon method; a physical presence that the simulation recognizes is necessary. Fortunately, we were able to make sporadic contact with a soul trapped in the simulation, Cendrillon Jospin. Unfortunately, this seems to have sped up her aging, but we expect to be able to get her out before her time is up. The very existence of non-Remnant souls trapped in the simulation in the first place should indicate just how dangerous the situation already is. This contact allows us to, at high cost and effort, take over simulated people Flipside that do not have a soul associated with it. Unfortunately, the only process that we have been able to get working shares many salient points with the criminal act of soul binding; permanent damage to your psyche will result if your sim is terminated. Despite our best efforts, due to safeguards instilled in the simulation, we only have been able to loosen the coupling sufficiently that a remote agent has four to eight simulated terminations before mental and NC damage starts to occur - even so, loosening will have to be consciously initiated from inside the simulation until we develop a daemonscript that is able and willing to cross the barrier. Strategy B will require a number of magicians of various traditions to continue research and ideally disrupt the simulation with known narrative techniques, but will also demand field agents who will be tasked with estabilishing a beach-head of sorts Flipside, and slow down the simulation directly by disrupting its determinism. Operational security doctrine requires that the two strategies remain in constant communication, but otherwise limit cooperation in that while we have to assume that Jesus is omniscient, we must ensure that no help comes to Him in correlating the data indicating that we plan to shoot Him into the sun, or outside the solar system, or simply to quark soup. Therefore, you will have to choose your contract and stick to it. Thank you for your attention.
